New York City is a big place, and it can be hard to get around. As a New Yorker myself, I find that public transportation is the easiest way to get around the city. Not only is it cheap, relatively fast and usually reliable, but it's also an experience in itself. If you're ever in NYC, grab a Metrocard and give it a shot!

The first time I visited New York City (NYC) I was shocked at how small the city felt. I was expecting the Big Apple to be bigger. I was expecting traffic jams, and finding parking. I was expecting to have to take a bus or subway to get anywhere. As it turned out, I was able to get anywhere I wanted in a few minutes, and at no cost.
